OBESITY CLINIC: AN INTRODUCTIONObesity can be defined as a situation in which the abnormal accumulation or excess of fat threatens health.. In normal conditions the human body contains a percentage of fat between 12-20% of the total weight in males and 20-30% in females. Obesity is distinguished from being overweight in that the latter is considered moderately above the normal range. Being overweight and obese are under the umbrella name of ponderal overload.
